1.  Daily Check–In- The First Step is to pay attention and begin the day on the best note possible. This can be simple.  When a stressful thought or moment arises, think of something positive in your day that you enjoy.

2. Breath- Breath is life.  A more mindful, balanced breath or two, here and there, can have a positive effect.

3. Movement- Good Posture is always a good starting point in any activity.

4. Gratitude-What are you grateful for? Learn to be present and gain clarity.

5. Reflection-Once well connected to our own needs, we can better set up for a positive tone for the rest of the day. Reach out into the day. Share with like minds whenever possible. Focus on positive energy wherever you can. We can do good deeds and be good people in our everyday life/life everyday.

6. Take a break-Never under estimate the power of taking pause. This is a good way to let the faucet of thought drain out.  Empty the cup of thought and replace it with positive thoughts, blessings and prayer, silence, or conscious and healthy breathing.  Smile, even for a moment or let out a sigh.

7. Compassion-Begin with Self-Compassion. Then reach out to others where you can. Where are you at your best?  Go there and help out in a way that relieves the stress and creates a better feeling. Fulfill your need to be compassionate and give back in your own way. Touch base with what brings meaning and purpose to your life.

8. Aromatherapy-If you are a fan of essential oils and the many healing benefits, try a scent you like to improve your mood and uplift the spirit.  Keep it at your desk, bedside, or in your car. You can find oils at your local health food store.

9. Inner Peace- While we aim for peace in the world, we can begin by finding a little peace in ourselves. Focusing of self-transformation through self-observation can benefit us in so many ways. 10 EASY TIPS FOR THE CHANGE OF SEASONS

1. Dress Warmer. Keep out the draft. Cover your ears, neck and feet well.

 2. Eat Warmer. Be your own furnace. Heat from within. Eat warm soups and stews. Toast, roast and stir-fry. Eat local and colorful whenever possible. Eat seasonally and try baking nutritious varieties of Squash and toasting seeds. Sweet potatoes bake easily and store well in the refrigerator.

 3. Drink Warmer. Warm up the drinks you love, even your Water. Use a lemon or a mint leaf to infuse with a little more flavor, vitamins and minerals. Coffee, tea, milk, and cider can all be heated. Pull out that favorite mug or on the go cup, or treat yourself to a new one!

 4. Exercise whenever you can. Busy lives, and shorter, colder days, can keep us feeling sunshine deprived or cooped up. Get outdoors whenever you can for some fresh air and nature. Learn indoor exercises that you love and benefit from. Join a club, get to the spa, take a class or make room in your home or workspace to move around and take a wellness break.

 5. Early Evenings. Enjoy this time of darkness. Slow down, nest a little more. Go to bed earlier or catch up on something. Try evening yoga. Restore.

 6. Create a Booklist. Plan for downtime reading. Magazines, novels, self-help, mystery, whatever you enjoy. Newspapers, articles, or games. Let your mind go and allow your brain to learn something new.

 7. Make Room and De-Clutter. Never a bad idea to de-clutter even a one shelf whenever possible.

 8. Pantry. Once that shelf is cleared, re-stock it with a few extra necessities for when the weather does not beg for a trip to the store. Have a few extra food and drink items that store well, on hand. 

9. Positive Thinking. As the season changes, be positive to combat the natural ups and down of life. Make each day the best day possible.

1. Hydrate. Try starting the day with a glass of water. Get creative and add a cucumber or a lemon.

2. Pay Attention to Symptoms.  Noticing issues early on can be very helpful.  Ask for help when you need it. 

3. Make healthy food choices.  Try convenient, healthy foods for on the go such as nuts, seeds and seasonal fruit.  Apples and cider are great this time of year.

4.  Find a Balance between eating for nutrition and eating for joy. Try eating a lighter, yet still nutritious meal, when you are looking forward to a sweet dessert.

5. Take time for stress relief.  Make time for a walk in your day. Pause for a deeper breath when you need to slow down. Sing a song. Focus on a good night sleep. Meditate while waiting on a long line. Get some fresh air.

6.  Be mindful of when you need a break.  Sit. Rest. Pause. Take a few moments to recharge now and then.

7.  Be mindful of when you need to kick it up a notch. Be motivated when you need to be.

8.  Get Moving. Moderate exercise goes a long way.  

9. Nourish not just your body, but also your mind and spirit. Honor your Whole Self.
